Using your model number (60) I looked at the parts for this dishwasher that are no longer available. It appears that the white control console is virtually the only part that is not available. Since your dishwasher model indicates that this is a white dishwasher, I am thinking that this is the part that is holding up your repair. The white console substitutes to a black console but the white console does not appear to be available. In our parts system, the black console does appear to be back ordered.

Based on this information, if the white console is going to be replaced with the black console because that is the only one available, then you may need to continue to wait for the black console since it apparently will be available around 12/30. Since we are technicians on the Manage My Home website, we cannot personally help you with moving this repair forward other than researching the technical information about your dishwasher such as the details indicated above. I recommend that you call Sears Service at 1-800-4MY-HOME (1-800-469-4663) and try to get their help with this repair based on the information about the console if that is actually the problem. A Master Protection Agreement does have a rental reimbursement clause. (If you need a different part, resubmit your question with the part that is back ordered and we can do additional research similar to what is presented above.) I understand your frustration with this repair. I am sure that it is not Sears intention to provide you with poor repair service.
I apologize for any inconvenience on behalf of Sears. If we can be of more help within our limited capacity at Manage My Home, please resubmit your question with additional details about the part that you are waiting for and we will be glad to research parts information again. Thank you for your question. I know how difficult it can be to remove the impeller on some dishwasher motors. I have provided you with an image below showing how to hold the impeller with a crescent wrench. If the crescent wrench slips, you can try the following method. Use a 1/2 inch drive socket.
I think the size it is a 3/4 inch. Place the socket onto the impeller and hold it with a pair of channel lock pliers. Then put the nut driver through the hole in the socket to loosen the screw.
I have only found a few impellers I could not get loose. If you cannot loosen the screw, you can try to break the impeller and remove the screw after the filter is out of the way. Here is a link to order any parts you need.
